U.P ASSISTANT PROSECUTION OFFICER SYLLABUS

PART A – General Knowledge- 50 Questions.
PART B – LAW – 100 Questions

Maximum Marks: 150 marks for 50 MCQ’s

Age Limit: –

  • General category: -21-40 years
  • For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years. Communities –
  • Backward Communities –

A) Upper age limit shall be greater by five years for candidates belonging to SC of U.P, ST of U.P, OBC of U.P, skilled players of up classified Games, State Govt. Employees of U.P including the teachers/staff of Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P and teachers/staff of the Govt. Aided Madhyamik Vidalayas of U.P.

B) Upper age limit shall also be greater by 3 years + period of service rendered in the army for the emergency commissioned officers/ short service commission officers/Ex- Army Personnel of U.P.

C) Upper age limit for PH shall be greater by 15 years.

Negative Marking: –

  •  There will be a negative marking for each wrong answer.
  • For each wrong answer, one-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question shall be deducted as a penalty.
  • If a candidate gives more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the given answer happens correct and there will be same penalty as mentioned above.

PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION SYLLABUS

One Qus. Paper containing Part 1 & Part 2 — 150 Marks – 2hrs

PART 1 – General Knowledge -[50 Qus.]

It will include day to day happenings around India and the world with special reference to:

(a) General Science – 8 Qus.
(b) Current Events of National and International Importance – 10 Qus.
(c) History Of India – 8 Qus.
(d) Indian National Movement – 8 Qus.
(e) Indian Polity & Economy – 8 Qus.
(f) World Geography and Population– 8 Qus.

Candidates are expected to have general awareness about the above topics

PART – 2 [Law] — 100 Qus.
It will cover the following Acts and Law with No. Of question indicated as under:

TOPICS ——— No. Of questions.

1. Indian Penal Code – 35 Qus.
2. Indian Evidence Act. — 25 Qus
3. Criminal Procedure Code.– 25 Qus
4. U.P Police Act and Regulations under this Act. -15 Qus

MAINS EXAMINATION SYLLABUS

Time of all the question papers will be three (3) hours

1. General Knowledge – 100 marks
2. General Hindi – 100 marks
3. Criminal Law and Procedure (Police Act & Regulations of Law Degree student) -100 marks
4. Law of Evidence (Which will include direct & Applied question of Law Degree Level) – 100 marks

(Question paper of GK and Hindi will be High School Standard)

Time of all the question papers will be three (3) hours

1. General Knowledge – 100 marks
2. General Hindi – 100 marks
3. Criminal Law and Procedure (Police Act & Regulations of Law Degree student) -100 marks
4. Law of Evidence (Which will include direct & Applied question of Law Degree Level) – 100 marks

(Question paper of GK and Hindi will be High School Standard)

INTERVIEW – {50 marks}

The suitability of the candidates shall be assessed with reference to his capacity, Character, Personality and Physical Fitness.

The marks obtained in the written test will be added to the marks obtained in personality test to consider the place of the candidate.

 

Qualification:

1. Degree in Law from any recognised University.

Preferential Qualification:

1. Has served for a minimum period of two years in Territorial army.
                              OR
2. Has obtained “B” certificate of NCC.
