Association says making and uploading reels from court premises is tarnishing the dignity of the High Court and the legal profession

Lucknow: The Oudh Bar Association of the Allahabad High Court, Lucknow Bench, has appealed to advocates, junior advocates, advocate clerks and law interns to refrain from making reels or similar videos on the High Court premises and uploading them on social media.

The appeal was issued by the Association on September 2, 2026, after it received information that some young advocates, advocate clerks and law interns were allegedly making reels on the court premises and subsequently uploading them on social media.

Reel Made In Advocate's Attire During Rain

According to the Association, it was recently informed about a reel allegedly made on the High Court premises by a person wearing advocate's attire while standing in the rain, which was subsequently uploaded on social media.

The Association expressed concern over such conduct and stated that such acts were tarnishing the dignity of the High Court and the Oudh Bar Association.

Appeal To Senior Advocates

The Oudh Bar Association has requested advocates to ensure that junior advocates, advocate clerks and law interns working under them do not make reels or engage in similar activities on the High Court premises.

The Association has specifically urged members of the Bar to ensure that no such activity is undertaken which may adversely affect the dignity of the court premises or the legal fraternity.

Separate Appeal To Junior Advocates, Clerks And Interns

The Association has also made a separate appeal directly to junior advocates, advocate clerks and law interns, asking them not to make reels on the High Court premises and to maintain the dignity and decorum of the High Court and the Oudh Bar Association.

The appeal was issued by Lalit Kishore Tiwari, General Secretary of the Oudh Bar Association, High Court, Lucknow.

No Penalty Or Disciplinary Action Announced

The Association's communication, as reported, is framed as an appeal to members of the Bar and persons working with them. It does not specify any particular penalty or disciplinary action against advocates, clerks or interns for making such reels.

लखनऊ: इलाहाबाद हाईकोर्ट की लखनऊ बेंच की Oudh Bar Association ने अधिवक्ताओं, जूनियर अधिवक्ताओं, एडवोकेट क्लर्कों और लॉ इंटर्न्स से हाईकोर्ट परिसर में रील्स या इस तरह के वीडियो बनाने और उन्हें सोशल मीडिया पर अपलोड करने से बचने की अपील की है।

एसोसिएशन ने यह अपील 2 सितंबर 2026 को जारी की। एसोसिएशन के अनुसार, उसे जानकारी मिली थी कि कुछ युवा अधिवक्ता, एडवोकेट क्लर्क और लॉ इंटर्न हाईकोर्ट परिसर में रील्स बना रहे हैं और बाद में उन्हें सोशल मीडिया पर अपलोड कर रहे हैं।

अधिवक्ता की वेशभूषा में बारिश के दौरान रील बनाने की जानकारी

एसोसिएशन के अनुसार, हाल ही में उसे ऐसी एक रील के बारे में जानकारी मिली, जिसे कथित तौर पर एक व्यक्ति ने अधिवक्ता की वेशभूषा में बारिश के दौरान हाईकोर्ट परिसर में बनाया और बाद में सोशल मीडिया पर अपलोड किया।

एसोसिएशन ने इस तरह के व्यवहार पर चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि ऐसे कृत्यों से माननीय हाईकोर्ट और Oudh Bar Association की गरिमा प्रभावित हो रही है।

वरिष्ठ अधिवक्ताओं से विशेष अपील

Oudh Bar Association ने सभी अधिवक्ताओं से अनुरोध किया है कि वे यह सुनिश्चित करें कि उनके अधीन काम करने वाले जूनियर अधिवक्ता, एडवोकेट क्लर्क और लॉ इंटर्न हाईकोर्ट परिसर में रील्स या इस प्रकार की अन्य गतिविधियों में शामिल न हों।

एसोसिएशन ने अधिवक्ताओं से ऐसी किसी भी गतिविधि को रोकने का अनुरोध किया है, जिससे न्यायालय परिसर या अधिवक्ता समुदाय की गरिमा प्रभावित हो सकती है।

जूनियर अधिवक्ताओं, क्लर्कों और इंटर्न्स से भी अपील

एसोसिएशन ने जूनियर अधिवक्ताओं, एडवोकेट क्लर्कों और लॉ इंटर्न्स से भी अलग से अपील की है कि वे हाईकोर्ट परिसर में रील्स न बनाएं और हाईकोर्ट तथा Oudh Bar Association की गरिमा एवं मर्यादा बनाए रखें।
