Adv. Harish Salve (68), former Solicitor General of India, has married Trina in a private wedding ceremony in London. The wedding was attended by notable figures such as Nita Ambani, Lalit Modi, Sunil Mittal, LN Mittal, SP Lohia, and Gopi Hinduja. Salve has been married for 38 years and has two daughters from their previous marriage. 

Sunil Mittal, LN Mittal, SP Lohia, Ujjwala Raut and Gopi Hinduja were among the other prominent businessmen who attended the reception. 

Salve was previously married to Meenakshi for 38 years before their divorce in June of 2020. They have two daughters named Sakshi and Saaniya. Later that same year, the well-known lawyer found love with British artist Caroline Brossard and the two got married in October 2020. 

WHO IS HARISH SALVE?

Born in Maharashtra in 1955, Harish Salve is a senior advocate who practices at the Supreme Court of India. In January, Salve was appointed as a Queen's Counsel for the courts of England and Wales. Salve, in fact, also served as the Solicitor General of India from November 1, 1999 to November 3, 2002. Some of his notable cases/clients include: 

  • His representation of Kulbhushan Jadhav, who faced a death sentence by a Pakistani military court on espionage charges. He charged a nominal fee of Rs 1 for representing Jadhav.
  • Salve became involved in the high-profile hit-and-run case of Salman Khan in 2015, ultimately leading to the Bollywood star's exoneration from all charges relating to the 2002 incident, as determined by the Bombay High Court.
  • Salve's clientele includes some of India's leading corporate entities like Tata Group, Reliance Industries headed by Mukesh Ambani, and ITC Group.
  • He also played a pivotal role in the Krishna Godavari Basin gas dispute case against Anil Ambani's Reliance Natural Resources Ltd. 
  • Salve gained recognition for arguing the first anti-dumping case in India's Supreme Court.
  • Salve has represented India in multiple cases before the International Court of Justice (ICJ).

Harish Salve divorced his wife Meenakshi of 38 years in June 2020. With Meenakshi, Harish Salve has two daughters - Sakshi and Saaniya.

WHO IS CAROLINE BROSSARD?

Caroline Brossard, 56, is an artist based in London. She has an 18-year-old daughter from her first marriage.

Harish Salve, who is currently in the UK, met Caroline Brossard at an art event. Salve and Caroline are both passionate about theatre, classical music as well as art.
