Syllabus
TELENGANA ASSISTANT PUBLIC PROSECUTOR SYLLABUS
- Candidates will be required to appear for a written examination in two papers
- Duration: 3 hrs. for each paper.
Both the papers will be set in the English language.
- Paper I – 100 marks – 200 MCQ’s
- Paper-II- 100 marks – descriptive type.
Note: Paper II will be descriptive in nature and the syllabus is with special emphasis on the Pleading and Drafting.
Paper II of only those candidates who qualify in the paper I shall be evaluated.
Qualifying marks: (in each paper)
- OC’s : 40% marks
BC’s : 35% marks
SC’s and ST’s : 30% marks
Age Limit:-
- General category: – Up to 34 years.
- Telangana State Govt. Employees (Employees of TSRTC, Corporations, Municipalities etc. Are not eligible): Length of regular service subject to a maximum period of 5 years.
- Ex-Servicemen (Served in Army/Air/Force/Navy): 3 years plus length of service rendered in the armed forces.
- NCC (who worked as Instructor in NCC): 3 years plus length of the Service rendered in the NCC.
- SC/ST and BC’s : Up to 5 years.
- Physically handicapped persons : Up to 10 years.

Qualification:
The Candidate must have practised as an Advocate for not less than three (3) years with active practice in criminal courts in the state as on date of notification.
Medical standards:
1. The candidate should possess sound health and be free from any bodily defect or infirmity which will render him/her unfit for service.
2. Candidates whose speech or hearing or sight are impaired are not eligible for service.
3. Candidates who suffer from stammering and stuttering are not eligible for service.
