MEGHALAYA LAW OFFICER SYLLABUS

  • Age Limit:-
  • General category: - 21-27 years
  • ST/SC : Upper age limit is relaxed upto 5 years.
  • Up to 35 years for candidates who are already in Meghalaya Govt. Service Provided they entered service within the prescribed age limit.
LAW OFFICER SYLLABUS
PART 1:
A — 50 marks
Drafting Affidavit.
  • District Court.
  • High Court.
  • Supreme Court.
  • Drafting of SLP (Special Leave Petition) Writ Petition/Plaint, including preparation of brief synopsis of a particular case along with points for consideration and relevant law as applicable.
    • B – 50 marks
  • Contempt of Court’s Act.
  • Principles of Interpretation of Statues.

    • C – 50 marks
  • Drafting written Statement, affidavits in Opposition and Rejoinder Affidavits.

  • Administrative Law
  • Constitution Of India
  • CPC/CrPC/Evidence Act

    • B – 50 marks
    family Law
  • Service Law
  • (Appointment/Promotion/Transfer/Departmental Proceedings/Pension) Position of Law in the above.

    Qualification:
  • Candidates must have passed Degree in Law from any recognized University.
