In a swift response to the threat, security agencies cordoned off the entire complex. All vehicles entering the premises were meticulously checked, and entry for visitors was temporarily restricted. Multiple teams from the Ahmedabad City Police, along with the Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) and dog squads, were deployed for a thorough search of the court building. Senior officials from both the city police and the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrived on site to supervise the extensive security operation.
To ensure public safety, all judicial proceedings were halted post-lunch. The Gujarat High Court issued an official statement regarding the suspension.
"Due to unavoidable circumstances, it has been decided to discontinue the functioning of the courts after lunch, i.e., after 1.45 pm. The courts are requested to inform the lawyers that proceedings will not continue post-lunch, and everyone is required to vacate the premises as early as possible to facilitate a comprehensive security check of the entire court premises."
Lawyers, litigants, and court staff were evacuated following the directive. Despite the significant disruption on the first day back from summer vacation, officials confirmed the situation was under control. The Cyber Crime Cell has registered an FIR and launched an investigation to trace the origin of the malicious email.
